Challenge
The NSF Regional Engines and Convergence Accelerator programs represent large-scale Technology, Innovation, and Partnerships (TIP) initiatives designed to accelerate commercialization and expand access to high-quality jobs through federal grant funding under the CHIPS and Science Act. NSF required a rapid modernization of its end-to-end grants lifecycle to support national and regional programs operating at significant scale, complexity, and speed.
Approach
iTech AG delivered a scalable, low-code grants management solution on ServiceNow using GrantsKit360 and PSDS, integrating data from Salesforce and SharePoint into a unified platform. The solution was deployed in phased increments, beginning with a rapid MVP and expanding into full lifecycle grants oversight and evaluation capabilities to align with the programs launch date.
To ensure scalability and consistency across regions, iTech AG developed a reusable Grants Management Playbook and partnered closely with NSF TIP, OCIO, and ServiceNow to deploy and operationalize the solution for Accelerators who will be responsible for management and oversight of grants nationwide.
